Ellen Warner has had Cystic Fibrosis since birth. I’ve never known anyone with this disorder so when you search for it, there’s an illustration of a sad little boy that looks like he’s been severely reprimanded. On the day of the shoot, it was a particular surprise to be introduced to a vibrant, beautiful and, by all indications, healthy young lady. What couldn’t be seen by the naked eye or photographed was the constant pain and fatigue that Ellen endures all of the time. So, we concentrated on what was there: determination, dedication to creativity and the support love and care of her family.
